Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)

Shift Details:

• Shift: Evening (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
• Hours: 32 hours per week
• Schedule: Monday – Sunday (Every other weekend required)

Job Summary:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselor to deliver comprehensive behavioral health services. This role involves patient assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of therapeutic interventions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and ensure the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments and collect relevant clinical data to develop individualized treatment plans
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, reporting any significant changes
• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions based on patient needs
• Educate patients and involve family members in care planning when appropriate
• Coordinate care with healthcare providers, including primary care physicians and outpatient services
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure effective care delivery
• Manage case coordination, including insurance verification and service authorizations
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical interventions and patient responses
• Support case management efforts to ensure continuity of care and positive outcomes
• Assist in supervising students and interns, as applicable
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards of care, and documentation requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Psychology, Human Services, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in behavioral health or human services
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Active state licensure required (LPC or LCSW)

Certifications & Requirements:

• AHA BLS Certification (required or must be obtained within 90 days)
• Must maintain active state licensure throughout the assignment
• Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the role
