Reading Specialist (Grades K–8)

About Mystic Valley Regional Charter School

Founded in 1998, Mystic Valley Regional Charter School (MVRCS) is a high-performing public charter school in Malden, Massachusetts, serving more than 1,750 students in Kindergarten through Grade 12.

At Mystic Valley, student success is built upon exceptional teachers, a carefully selected curriculum delivered with fidelity, high academic expectations, and a traditional, knowledge-based approach to instruction.

Year after year, Mystic Valley ranks among the top public schools in Massachusetts, New England, and the nation. Our graduates consistently achieve outstanding post-secondary success, reflecting the rigorous academic foundation they receive during their time at MVRCS.

Students in Kindergarten through Grade 12 attend school for 200 instructional days each year, follow a school dress code, and benefit from an extended school day that is approximately one hour longer than that of most traditional public schools. These distinguishing features enable Mystic Valley to fulfill its mission of providing every student with a world-class education.

  • Prepare quarterly progress reports to accompany report cards for students receiving reading intervention services.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other meetings as needed.
