A Recovery Specialist Supervisor is responsible for supervising, overseeing, and supporting recovery specialists, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and ethical recovery support services, and guiding the team in meeting organizational and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision and Training:
Supervise, coach, mentor, and provide ongoing training for recovery specialists, ensuring they meet organizational standards and best practices. - Client Care:
Contribute to the development and refinement of services to ensure that the needs of clients are met, and outcomes are positive. - Team Leadership:
Build a positive and supportive team environment, fostering collaboration and effective communication among team members. - Documentation:
Ensure records are accurate and complete as related to client services, program activities, and staff performance. - Ethical Conduct and Compliance:
Ensure that all staff and services adhere to ethical guidelines and regulatory requirements. - Problem-Solving:
Identify and implement solutions to problems related to client care, programming, or staffing. - Staff Support:
Provide support and guidance to staff to enhance performance and ensure job satisfaction. - Program Facilitation:
Assist and facilitate in the planning and execution of weekend & evening program activities. - Hiring: Conduct team interviews
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of addiction treatment and recovery principles.
- Understanding of peer support models and ethics.
- Experience in providing direct services to individuals with substance use disorders or co-occurring disorders.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.
- Capacity to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently.
- Experience in supervision, training and coaching
- Understanding of relevant regulatory and accreditation standards
