Tax Supervisor / Tax Manager

Kforce has a client that is seeking to hire a Tax Supervisor/Tax Manager just outside of Boston Massachusetts (MA). Summary: This is a hybrid/flexible role with a top local accounting firm with high-end clients. The clients here are mostly very successful business, and the tax work primarily supports these business owners, their families and related business and charitable entities. Duties:

• Tax Supervisor will oversee and manage all aspects of the company's tax compliance and reporting activities
• Preparing and filing tax returns
• Review financial records
• Identify potential tax issues and saving opportunities
• Provide guidance and support to the tax department
• Research complex tax laws
• As a Tax Supervisor, you will develop tax strategies
• Review tax audits
• Handle tax disputes with tax authorities
• Proficiency and knowledge of tax laws and regulations, Federal, State and local
• Other duties as assigned
• BS Accounting required
• CPA or MST or EA a plus
• 5+ years of current or recent CPA firm Tax experience, public accounting experience a plus
• Analytical skills, analyze data, identify tax issued and develop effective tax strategies
• Organizational skills - able to manage multiple tax projects, deadlines and other priorities
• Leadership skills and team management - able to lead team of tax professionals keep junior members supported and motivated
• Ability to stay up to date on industry trends regarding tax laws and regulations
