About the Role
Yoga Instructors at Bouldering Project lead intentional, inclusive, and inspiring classes that support the mind-body connection through breath and movement. Instructors are responsible for developing thoughtful sequences that align with BP’s yoga class formats, while cultivating a positive and welcoming studio environment for all participants. This role requires professionalism, safety awareness, and a community-focused attitude.
What You’ll Do
Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Design and teach creative, well-sequenced classes that align with BP’s offerings (e.g., Power Flow, Slow Flow, Restore, Sculpt, Vinyasa)
- Clearly cue safe and dynamic asana postures, breathwork, and transitions, offering modifications for a variety of levels
- Welcome all participants, including new students, and foster a community-centered class environment
- Offer hands-on assists when appropriate and only with consent
- Maintain professionalism by arriving early, starting and ending class on time, and upholding studio standards
- Maintain studio cleanliness and proper care of yoga props and equipment
- Coordinate sub coverage when unable to teach and support fellow instructors by subbing as needed
- Respond to emergencies according to safety protocols and report incidents appropriately
- Participate in staff meetings and continuing education sessions
- Accurately check students into class and maintain class headcounts
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
- YT 200 (Yoga Alliance) or equivalent training and experience
- Current CPR/AED certification and basic first aid training
- Minimum 1+ year experience teaching yoga classes
- Strong communication and class management skills
- Ability to serve a wide range of fitness levels and abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of yoga instruction experience
- RYT 500 or E-RYT 200 designation
- Experience teaching Hot Power Flow, Yoga Sculpt, or Restore
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Exercise Science, Wellness)

This role may require flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Instructors are expected to commit to a regular weekly teaching schedule and may be asked to attend periodic team events or trainings.
