Our client a frozen food company in Woburn, MA is looking for a temporary Shipping Clerk for a 2-3 week long assignment. This would be a Mon-Fri traditional office hours position and they are looking to get someone started the week of the 20th at some point. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for coordinating the accurate and timely shipping of goods, ensuring that shipments meet quality standards and customer expectations.

Duties:

• Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling products according to specified order requirements.
• Pick and pack product to ensure correct items are shipped out.
• Verify shipment details against shipping documents, bills of lading, and order specifications to prevent errors.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all loading, unloading, and packaging activities.
• Support shipping & receiving functions by managing documentation for inbound and outbound freight.

Skills:

• Proven experience in warehouse management system operation and warehouse distribution processes.
• Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment, and inventory control.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for weights, measurements, and inventory counts.
• Ability to work in a freezer environment where temperatures are well below freezing (would in there for 10-20 minute periods of time)
