Compliance Specialist (Financial Risk Business Analyst)
Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a Compliance Specialist with strong Financial Business Analysis experience to join the Financial & Non-Financial Risk Engineering team , focusing on financial risk initiatives. This role supports the sunset of legacy platforms and the migration to a new, modernized risk data platform.
The role requires expertise in regulatory frameworks, financial risk types, and translating business needs into functional and data requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary Financial Business Analyst (60-65% of the role), with supporting responsibilities in data analysis.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Stakeholders, and Technology teams to gather and translate business requirements.
- Support financial risk reporting across Credit Risk, Market Risk, and Model Risk domains.
- Analyze regulatory reporting requirements, including SCCL, RWA, FRTB.
- Perform data mapping and functional analysis related to risk data models.
- Participate in Agile delivery cycles and support sprint planning as needed.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Experience working in the banking or financial services industry .
- Strong background in financial risk management : Credit Risk, Market Risk, and Model Risk.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting frameworks : SCCL, RWA, FRTB.
- Understanding of BCBS239 and RDARR guidelines.
- Proficiency with SQL for data analysis (not a data engineering role).
- Demonstrated experience working on large-scale enterprise initiatives .
Nice to Have
- Exposure to non-financial risk domains (GRC, operational risk, enterprise risk).
- Prior involvement in data platform modernization or legacy system migration initiatives.
