Onsite Start Date: May 4th, 2026 END: September 5th, 2026
Schedule: Monday-Friday (5) Day work week up to 20 hrs
Compensation: $18.00-23.00 per hour
Jacob’s Pillow seeks a Seasonal Plant Care Attendant to join the Facilities Department and work closely with/report directly to the Director of facilities safety and Security . This position is entrusted with watering and maintaining 50 flower pots, planter boxes and containers across the Pillow campus grounds, buildings, and facilities . Responsibilities include watering, weeding, trimming and pruning.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Water all flower pots, planter boxes, and planted containers across campus
Remove trash and dead plant material from pots, planter boxes, and containers
Maintain watering hoses, sprinklers, and related equipment
Identify and report issues related to watering systems, containers, or plant health
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to safely and properly use hand tools and equipment
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong communication skills when interacting with staff and campus visitors
Ability to anticipate challenges and solve problems efficiently
Strong organizational skills
WORKING CONDITIONS
Regular outdoor work in wooded areas with exposure to native wildlife, including but not limited to rodents, ticks, and mosquitoes
Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs, independently or with assistance
Frequent movement between multiple locations across campus
Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
