JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Associates Degree (or equivalent) in Radiologic Technology from an AMA approved school.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED :
Massachusetts State licenses in Radiography and Mammography are required.
Currently certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in (R) and (M). Certification in Breast Ultrasound either through the ARDMS or ARRT.
Credentials are ARRT (BS) or RDMS (BR) and required within one year of hire.
EXPERIENCE:
At least 1 year of experience as a registered mammographer and at least 6 months of breast sonography required.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Knowledge of principles and procedures in both mammography and ultrasound and the operation and maintenance of Radiologic/Mammography and Ultrasound equipment.
- Knowledge of bone density equipment and ability to analyze studies.
- Extensive knowledge of breast anatomy and pathology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients and co-workers, to train students and staff mammographers.
- Excellent organizational skills. Requires intermediate to advanced computer skills.
Compensation Range:
$47.51- $56.78This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
