Divisional Sales Manager - Ropes & Rigging

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the ropes & rigging division, focused on calling on Life Safety/Rescue, Tree care, and Forestry clients. The Sales Manager is a new business development role & requires a strong HUNTER. The successful candidate will increase revenue for existing accounts through market analysis, promoting new products, and optimizing product mix, while leading an international team of sales managers. New accounts will be identified, established, and maintained, utilizing all available resources to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing, developing, and maintaining new market opportunities, and key customer accounts and relationships.
  • Measurable increases in new business development, revenue, and customer accounts, through product mix optimization, new product introduction, and increasing revenue in assigned existing accounts.
  • Responsible for product and technical support through troubleshooting and field QA in partnership with the engineering and customer service teams.
  • Accountable for integration and support of newly acquired accounts.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of current competitor and market intelligence.
  • Define necessary steps to achieve sales objectives: analyze existing and potential customers for sales and profit potential, derive sales and marketing plans, and establish competitive product pricing.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and care for all accounts.
  • Provide strong management and leadership for a team of international sales managers. This includes supporting and driving their individual success with their respective sales accounts.
  • Ability to work independently and take proactive steps that drive positive business results.
  • Fiscal responsibility for all activities required to meet the budget, sales margins, cost, and profitability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management preferred.
  • Minimum five years of profitable sales experience required. Knowledge and/or background in the Life Safety and Rescue industry preferred.
  • Proven success in a sales management role, leading global teams.
  • Knowledge of product liability, product management, cost control and quality management.
  • Must be fluent in English; ability to speak German is a plus.
  • 50% travel is required.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, drive, and a passion for sales.
