Weekday Counter Sales Representative

Maine Oxy has a current opening for an Inside/Counter Sales Representative in our Milford, MA retail store. This is a hands on position with great opportunities to advance and learn other areas of the gas and welding industry. No direct experience required, we will train you! This is a Monday-Friday position working roughly 7:15 AM to 5 PM.

The Inside/Counter Sales Representative's responsibilities include:
- Promote safety as Job #1
- Provides customers with an additional level of product knowledge and technical expertise
- Troubleshoots and responds to technical problems posed by customers and branch personnel
- Assists in all phases of store operations
- Completes paperwork accurately and in a timely manner according to company policies and procedures
- Assumes the responsibilities of Store Manager position when Store Manager is absent
- Serves as primary in house contact for major customer base served by the store
- For selected accounts, offers special prices or discounts based on specific guidelines and in certain circumstances, negotiates payment form
- Assists branch store sales staff in selling function and sales team in working up quotes
- Responds to customer complaints by taking action to resolve the issue according to company policy
- Serves as a support staff for outside sales
- Labels stock, stocks shelves, assembles machinery, conducts demonstrations, and arranges displays to enhance marketability
- Assists in maintaining clean and neat store appearance.
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, speak and hear.
- Frequent sitting and standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; may stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus on objects.
- Ability to occasionally lift 25 to 75lbs.
Other Requirements:
- Welding Knowledge Preferred but not required
