PHC Technician “Learn how to care for trees and shrubs through hands-on treatment applications.”This role focuses on applying treatments that protect trees and shrubs from insects and disease, and provides nutrition through fertilization.
It’s a great fit for someone who:- Enjoys outdoor work
- May have lawn care or landscape application experience
- Likes the idea of a seasonal role
- Prefers active, independent workdays
What You’ll Do
- Apply plant health treatments using spray equipment and soil injection tools
- Monitor properties for signs of insects, disease, or stress
- Interact professionally with clients on-site
- Maintain clean, organized equipment and vehicles
- Complete required paperwork
What You’ll Learn
- Safe and proper use of PHC equipment
- Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles
- How to identify common tree and shrub species
- Recognition of common regional insect and disease issues
- How to earn your Massachusetts Pesticide Applicators License
