We are looking for a career-minded Assistant Manager with a strong focus in Paint to help lead our team, drive sales, and elevate the customer experience in one of our most dynamic departments.

What You’ll Do

As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting store operations while leading the Paint department to success.

Leadership & Operations

• Support the Store Manager in daily operations, staffing, and performance management
• Lead by example on the sales floor, driving a culture of service and accountability
• Coach and develop team members to deliver best-in-class customer experiences
• Maintain store standards, merchandising, and operational execution

Paint Department Focus

• Serve as the in-store expert for paint products, finishes, and applications
• Assist customers with color matching, product selection, and project guidance
• Drive paint sales through upselling, add-ons, and project-based conversations
• Ensure inventory accuracy, proper stock levels, and visual merchandising standards

Customer Experience

• Build strong, lasting relationships with DIY and contractor customers
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently
• Promote a solutions-based sales approach rather than transactional service

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience (hardware, paint, or home improvement preferred)
• 1+ year of supervisory or leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of paint products, tools, and applications (preferred)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and being on your feet for extended periods
