Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Worcester, MA
Job Title: RN – Operating Room
Location: Worcester, MA
Shift/Schedule: Day, 3x12-Hour (09:00 – 21:30)
Hours: 36 hours/week
Start Date: 04/08/2026
End Date: 13-week assignment
Department: Operating Room
Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care in multiple OR specialties including General, CVOR, Hybrid, Bariatrics, Thoracic, ENT, Endoscopic, and Neurology
- Scrub and assist in complex surgical procedures such as CABG, atrial septal defect repair, IABP, mitral valve replacement, thoracotomy, VATS, ALIF, craniotomy, and VP shunt insertion
- Prepare surgical instruments and maintain sterile field
- Support trauma Level I cases
- Collaborate with surgical team for patient safety, positioning, and monitoring
- Utilize Epic charting system (preferred) and maintain accurate documentation
- Assist with laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures across multiple specialties
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience
- Trauma Level I experience required; Trauma Level II preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Travel experience not required
Certifications:
- BLS required
- CNOR preferred
Work Settings: Ambulatory OR, CVOR, Hybrid OR, General OR, Pediatric General OR, Trauma, Bariatrics
Additional Skills:
- Scrub Bariatric, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, ENT, Endoscopic, General, and Neurology surgeries
- Laparoscopic assisted procedures
- Outpatient and hospital OR experience
Vaccine Requirements:
