The Position
Friedman Vartolo LLP is seeking experienced Foreclosure Paralegal to join our rapidly growing team. We're looking for bright, enthusiastic individuals, who will bring a strong work ethic and eagerness to grow alongside the firm.
The ideal candidate will have a broad range of foreclosure experience including, but not limited to managing foreclosure from referral through conclusion, ordering title, obtaining payoffs, deed, assignment and letter preparation, meeting time sensitive deadlines, providing updates and timely responses to clients, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Manage foreclosure files from referral through post-sale, ensuring compliance with applicable state requirements, including Massachusetts
- Order and review title reports to identify necessary parties and clear title issues
- Prepare and process foreclosure-related documents, including assignments, affidavits, notices, and deeds
- Coordinate required notices and ensure adherence to applicable timelines and procedural requirements
- Track and manage critical deadlines throughout the foreclosure process
- Coordinate with vendors, courts, and third parties to move files forward efficiently
- Obtain payoffs, reinstatement figures, and other required documentation
- Prepare post-sale documents and facilitate recording as needed
- Maintain accurate file documentation and case management system updates
- Communicate with clients, providing status updates and responding to inquiries in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of Massachusetts foreclosure experience; Connecticut knowledge a plus
- Strong knowledge of Massachusetts foreclosure law and real estate default servicing
- Experience with LPS, CaseAware, Tempo, or similar systems is a plus
- Superior organizational, research, and writing skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume workload
- Deadline-driven with the ability to prioritize effectively
- Confident and professional communication skills, including phone interaction
- Ability to perform well under pressure
Compensation/Benefits
