Plant Manager
Plant Manager opening for an immediate direct hire just outside of Concord, Massachusetts! This key position leads site plant responsible for theresearch and design for capital projects, engineering work for new process designs and modification of installed equipment to improve production costs as well as product quality. This leader will collaborate closely with operations and maintenance teams regarding the installation of new equipment and processes. This person will work with corporate and internal team members on sustainability projects and objectives. Responsible for adhering to all Company safety, health, and loss control policies and procedures. The right person for this role will have a BS in engineering along with proven experience as a Plant Engineer in extrusion, compounds, or plastics with project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively The person who will be successful in this role will be a great communicator, passionate about their work and have the ability for planning, organizing and administration with a proven track record of effective problem-solving procedures in a global matrixed environment. education: Bachelors responsibilities:
- Develop and implement current equipment/facility engineering techniques by updating processes and equipment within budgetary guidelines.
- Act as the project manager for CAPEX projects ensuring cost efficiencies and deadlines
- Research, analyze, recommend, develop and implement cost effective ways of improving systems, methods, layouts, material handling, etc. in all areas to improve overall performance
- Design and modify schematics and technical drawings utilizing AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and CAD software to support fabrication and assembly line improvements.
- Develop and maintain appropriate systems, procedures, checks, tests (i.e. sprinkler systems, lifts/hoists, etc.) and records to meet the requirements of legislation, Company Insurers, Regulatory Agencies and the Company
- Maintain a current knowledge of industry developments and contribute to operating efficiency improvements by minimizing production downtime
- BS in engineering or industrial along with proven experience as a Plant Engineer in extrusion, compounds, or plastics with project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- 5+ years industrial/manufacturing engineering with an emphasis on mechanical/maintenance/automation improvements
- Successful leadership experience within a similar environment with the ability to prioritize projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Proven analysis and cost skills to evaluate financial impacts to the business and search out cost-efficient solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of plant mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and industrial maintenance practicess
- Problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting with a commitment to safety standards and continuous improvement in maintenance processes
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
