Can you...

• Execute Lockout/Tagout, confined space entry, hot work, fall protection, and energy isolation every time?
• Complete JSAs and proactively identify hazards before the job starts?
• Diagnose, disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble centrifugal and positive displacement pumps—including seals and bearings?
• Perform laser or dial indicator shaft alignments and torque couplings, bearings, and assemblies to spec?
• Remove, service, and reinstall process valves; assemble flanges correctly; replace gaskets with proper torque sequence and bolt loading?
• Install steam tracing (bend/flare tubing), place steam traps, and troubleshoot condensate systems?
• Pull, inspect, and reinstall shell-and-tube exchanger bundles, and support work on distillation columns and hydrolysis towers?
• Assist with ASME pressure vessel maintenance, including internal entry prep and reassembly of large vertical vessels?
• Rig and move pumps, motors, exchanger bundles, and piping using slings, shackles, and lifting devices safely?
• Measure precisely with micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators; operate a lathe, Bridgeport-style mill, drill press, and broaching tools?
• Drill, tap, fabricate, and modify parts; machine and fit keyways and shafts?
• Execute preventative and corrective maintenance across hydrolysis, distillation, fractionation, separations, utilities, and logistics systems?
• Capture accurate CMMS records, suggest procedure improvements, and maintain tools/rigging/shop areas in safe condition?
• Support major outages, shutdowns, and turnarounds, working extended hours or shifts when needed—and support TRT's annual shutdown?

Minimum profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years in refinery/chemical/power/heavy industrial maintenance OR completion of a recognized Industrial Maintenance, Millwright, or Mechanical Technology program.
• Proven centrifugal pump repair and precision alignment (laser or dial) experience.
• Knowledge of bolted flange assembly best practices.
• Manual machining (lathe and milling machine) capability.
• Able to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and OEM manuals.
• Skilled with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators.
• Working knowledge of steam systems and steam traps.
• Safe basic rigging.
• Familiar with refinery safety and LOTO.

Preferred to have

• Formal Millwright/Industrial Mechanic apprenticeship.
• NCCER Industrial Maintenance or Millwright certification.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.
• Confined Space Entry and Fall Protection training.
• Experience on shell & tube exchangers and ASME pressure vessels.
• Time in oleochemical, chemical, or refinery facilities.

Physical reality of the job

• All-weather work environment; PPE is required and some tasks occur in confined spaces.
• Frequent walking/standing/lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Climb stairs and ladders up to 120 feet.
• Lift equipment up to and exceeding 40 lbs during maintenance.
• Turn valves, move handles, and work overhead.
