Property Condition Assessor
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Property Condition Assessor to assist in conducting comprehensive facility condition assessments. The role involves both interior and exterior inspections of buildings, with the aim of documenting findings accurately and efficiently. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of building systems.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough facility condition assessments including both interior and exterior inspections.

Document assessment findings using photographs, sketches, and notes, ensuring accuracy.

Utilize computer tablets with built-in cameras for documenting mechanical or electrical equipment and subcomponents.

Review and interpret architectural and engineering blueprints to identify building layouts and potential issues.

Draft preliminary reports from assessment findings, highlighting necessary repairs or upgrades.

Compile data into structured formats for detailed assessment reports.

Apply basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems to assess their condition.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols during all site visits.

Physically inspect large complexes, including mechanical and electrical systems.
Essential Skills
-
Experience in facility condition assessment, construction management, and building science.

Strong knowledge of building systems including architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.

Experience and/or education in Construction Management, Facilities Management, or Building Science.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and comfort using a computer.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boston, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $50.00/hr.
