Cold Storage HVAC and Refrigeration Expert

The Role: As a Cold Storage HVAC and Refrigeration Expert, you will take charge of ensuring the efficient running of industrial-grade refrigeration systems in our bustling warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections and needed repairs on refrigeration units.
• Constant evaluation of system performance and proactive issue resolution.
• Adhere to LOTO and PSM guidelines while replacing system components.
• Perform refrigerant pump-outs for necessary repairs or upgrades.
• Engage in routine maintenance in line with OSHA safety regulations.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools to test, adjust, and ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Assess final outcomes to ensure they align with safety and design criteria.
• Deploy troubleshooting acumen to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Ensure consistent safety gear compliance in line with OHSA standards.
• Maintain an impeccable log of maintenance data via the CMMS System.
• Consistently uphold a clean, organized 6S work environment.
• Be prepared for varied work shifts and opportunistic responsibilities.

Credentials Required:

• A minimum of a high school graduation diploma or equivalent GED.
• Minimum of two years' experience in maintaining industrial refrigeration units.
• Alternative qualifications include three years in the maintenance field plus certifications like RETA or EPA Universal.
• Completion of required industrial refrigeration learning modules.
• Experienced and certified in HAZMAT procedures is necessary.
• Experience managing Oracle CMMS systems is a plus.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Cold Storage environment familiarity.
• Ammonia refrigeration expertise is highly valued.
• Holder of CARO and CIRO certifications adds an advantage.
• Skillful in diving deep into diagnostics and solutions on refrigeration apparatus.
• Willingness and ability to train and develop other less-experienced team members.
