Position Summary
Tmarket is a fast-growing, modern Asian supermarket located in the Natick Mall. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager for the Grocery Department to support daily operations, inventory control, merchandising, and team supervision. This role is ideal for someone with strong retail or grocery experience who is ready to take on leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Grocery Manager with daily department operations
- Oversee product stocking, rotation, merchandising, and shelf presentation
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and reduce shrink
- Coordinate ordering, receiving, and vendor communication
- Train, supervise, and support grocery team members
- Ensure compliance with store policies, food safety standards, and operational procedures
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally
- Act as the department lead when the Grocery Manager is off duty
Required Qualifications
- Previous grocery or retail experience is required
- Experience in a supervisory or lead role is a strong plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Bilingual (English/Chinese) is a plus
