Lead Hardware Test Engineers

Job Title: Lead Hardware Test Engineers
Job Location: 3 Gill Street, Ste. D, Woburn, MA, 01801
Travel: Travel is required for 1 to 2 weeks per year. Half of this travel is international and half is domestic.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute test plans for company prototypes to inform the product design and performance;
- Build, assemble, and operate complex laboratory test setups, including mechanical and electrical systems;
- Conduct rigorous testing procedures and troubleshoot technical problems;
- Analyze test data and document findings to make recommendations;
- Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment;
- Utilize various software tools required to operate testing setups (data acquisition software, LabVIEW);
- Conduct data analysis of test data using various tools, such as Python;
- Develop dashboards for fast and effective analysis of data to inform design decisions for multiple system components;
- Design, develop, and test various mechanical components using CAD, CAE, and prototyping;
- Guide Engineering Lab Technicians to effectively set up and conduct tests to meet requirements and expected outcomes;
- Generate engineering drawings of designed parts for documentation and Machinists; and
- Utilize expertise in machine learning to improve quality and efficiency of testing and analytics.
Requirements & Qualifications:
The employer requires a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least four (4) years of work experience as a Mechanical Engineer or related occupation. In addition, the employer requires the candidate to have the following:
- Demonstrated understanding of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) using ANSYS gained through three (3) years of work experience.;
- Demonstrated ability testing mechanical components and systems to determine whether products meet targeted specifications gained through three (3) years of work experience;
- Demonstrated ability analyzing data generated during mechanical testing to draw conclusions and make improvements gained through four (4) years of work experience;
- Demonstrated ability manufacturing hardware products gained through three (3) years of work experience;
- Demonstrated knowledge of machine learning, algorithms, methodologies, and optimization algorithms to build predictive models that inform product design and manufacturing decisions gained through six (6) months of work experience;
- Demonstrated understanding of Python Programming gained through two (2) years of work experience; and
- Demonstrated understanding of CAD (SolidWorks) gained through four (4) years of work experience.
All years of experience may be gained concurrently.
Salary: $140,587 to $145,000 per year.
