Real Estate Funding Specialist
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Funding Servicer to join our busy real estate law firm in Needham. This role is a key part of the real estate process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in funding, disbursements, and post-closing file management.The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate funding, mortgage servicing, title insurance. or banking operations with strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high-volume workload under daily deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive, prioritize, and process funding packets daily (40-100 files per day)
- Review files for accuracy, including dates, amounts, initials, and signatures
- Confirm wires are received by lenders and issue cleared checks to the appropriate parties
- Prepare and send overnight packages to borrowers, creditors, and lenders
- Assist with ordering payoffs, taxes, and opening new real estate files
- Review commitments and send closing documents back to lenders
- Collaborate with paralegals to resolve any file discrepancies
- Ensure all closing and funding documents are finalized and moved to funding
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus on repetitive tasks
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Prior experience in Qualia Software preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience in real estate closings, title processing, mortgage funding, or banking
- Willingness to work extended hours when necessary
Pay
Competitive hourly pay: $20–$26/hour , based on experience
