The Senior Technician is responsible for leading a team of technicians to complete preventative maintenance, calibration, repair, and qualification of ultra-high vacuum tools used for a physical vapor deposition (PVD) process, along with secondary equipment, in a cleanroom environment. The ideal candidate will be able to perform quality work in a fast-paced, advanced technology production department. Key Responsibilities:
Technical:
- Align and calibrate precision tools used in the production process.
- Complete end-of-campaign maintenance on deposition tools including disassembly, grinding, cleaning, and reassembly.
- Troubleshoot tools with hardware malfunctions or below standard performance.
- Qualify production tools after any maintenance event.
- Perform basic fabrication (Drilling, tapping, etc.)
Leadership:
- Coordinate technicians to complete tasks daily according to the goals/priorities set by Engineering/Management.
- Help and offer advice to technicians to complete directed tasks as needed.
- Train newly hired technicians as well as upskilling existing technicians.
- Help and offer technical advice to tool operators as needed.
Organization:
- Document/Log maintenance events with appropriate level of detail.
- Maintain a parts inventory and order basic parts needed to maintain a safety stock.
- Escalate complex issues to Engineers.
- Assist Engineers with process development and R&D tasks.
- Assist in development of SOPs for production and maintenance.
