Job Title: Bartender / Counter Service

Location: Mike & Patty’s – Boston Logan Airport, Terminal C, Boston, MA

Mike & Patty’s is expanding into Boston Logan Airport and is seeking professional, guest-focused Bartenders to support both beverage service and front-of-house operations.

This role is a hybrid bartending and high-volume counter service position, designed for efficiency in an airport setting and ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments.

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team! Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage POS systems such as Toast POS for accurate order processing and cash handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible serving practices, including alcohol service regulations.
• Assist with food service when needed, including serving food at events like banquets or catering functions.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, perform cashiering duties, and reconcile sales at shift end.
• Support inventory management by restocking supplies and tracking beverage levels.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy nights or special events like nightclub nights or large banquets.

Skills

• Proven experience working as a bartender in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order entry and payment processing.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse personalities.
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order entry.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Experience with serving alcohol responsibly in accordance with legal regulations.
• Familiarity with catering operations and banquet service environments is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special event days.

Certifications (Required or Preferred):

• TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) Certification
• Allergen Awareness Certification
• Food handler certification

Airport Environment Expectations:

• Deliver consistent, efficient service in a high-volume, fast-turnover environment
• Ability to obtain and maintain airport security badge and clearance
• Maintain strong punctuality, reliability, and adherence to structured schedules
