Location: Springfield, MA (Travel Throughout New England – MA, CT, RI, NH, VT, ME)
Job Type: Full-Time
JD Rivet Roofing, sister company of Ameritech Contracting, is seeking an experienced and dependable Commercial Roofing Foreman to lead roofing crews on commercial projects throughout New England. The Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the high-quality standards expected by JD Rivet Roofing and our clients. This position requires strong leadership, roofing expertise, and the ability to coordinate crews, materials, and job site logistics across multiple states.
Key Responsibilities
Crew Leadership
- Supervise and lead roofing crews on commercial and residential roofing projects
- Train, mentor, and develop roofers and apprentices
- Assign daily work tasks and ensure productivity goals are met
Project Execution
- Manage daily job site operations from start to completion
- Ensure roofing systems are installed according to manufacturer specifications and standards
- Maintain job site safety and enforce OSHA regulations
- Inspect work throughout the project to ensure quality craftsmanship
- Address and correct installation issues immediately
- Ensure projects meet client expectations and pass inspections
Coordination & Logistics
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and labor needs for each project
- Communicate with project managers regarding progress, delays, or change orders
- Ensure materials are delivered and staged efficiently
- Answer basic client questions regarding project progress
- Maintain daily job reports and track labor hours
- Document completed work and job progress with photos when required
Requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years roofing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role
- Experience with commercial roofing systems (EPDM, TPO, PVC, metal, asphalt shingles)
- Strong knowledge of roofing safety practices and OSHA compliance
- Ability to read blueprints and project specifications
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout New England
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
