Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A travel sonography opportunity is available, specializing in general ultrasound imaging with a focus on head and neck exams and routine general studies. This role involves working across two prestigious hospitals, providing diverse clinical experiences and collaboration with experienced radiologists.
Schedule:
- Sunday: 8:00 AM 6:30 PM at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH)
- Monday: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM at Mass Eye & Ear (MEE)
- Thursday: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM at MEE
- Saturday: 8:00 AM 6:30 PM at MGH
Responsibilities include performing detailed ultrasound examinations of head and neck at MEE, adhering to specific scanning protocols, and supporting ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies and operating room guidance when opportunities arise. At MGH, the focus shifts to routine general sonography, transplanted liver and kidney imaging, venous Doppler studies for deep vein thrombosis in upper and lower extremities, and pediatric exams, which add to the breadth of clinical practice.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in general ultrasound imaging with strong head and neck experience
- Experience or willingness to participate in US-guided procedures
- Ability to operate and adapt to advanced imaging equipment including Philips Epiq Elite and GE Logiq 10s
- Pediatric ultrasound experience is considered a strong plus
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work closely with radiologists and medical teams
