As the Assistant Program Director you will assist the Integrated Team Program Director in the administrative and clinical leadership of the team. The Assistant Program Director also provides clinical supervision and direction for team members in the Adult Community Clinical Services Program.
Salary starts at $84,000
Expectations of the Role:
• Under clinical and administrative supervision and guidance from the Program Director, the Assistant Program Director the management of an Integrated Team’s efforts to engage people and partner with them to improve their health and wellness, achieve symptom stabilization and self-management, develop and/or restore skills impacted by mental illness and live a self-directed life.
• Assist people with psychiatric and substance use disorders to identify personal priorities, preferences, strengths, and interests in order to help them establish goals that support a life in recovery.
• Instill hope by engaging in positive interactions that promote recovery and empowerment.
• Collaborate with persons to help them to write goals with specific action steps in order to develop effective treatment/rehabilitation recovery plans.
• Participate in the development and implementation of Safety Plans and Crisis Prevention and Response Plans in order to help prevent and mitigate risk factors.
• Use evidence based practices including motivational interviewing as directed by clinical supervisors.
• Advocate that persons need to make informed choices to further their own recovery.
• Advocate for better access to public services and natural supports for persons in order to facilitate their recovery and full integration into the community.
• Assists the Program Director in the hiring process for team staff and helps the Program Director Ensure that all team staff are properly oriented and are trained in all mandatory trainings.
• Provides clinical and administrative supervision to the clinical coordinators and clinical supervision of other staff
• All other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
What you'll need:
Education/Licensure: Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) designation that is recognized under Massachusetts law is required. Following degrees meet the criteria: MSW, LCSW, LICSW, LMHC and LMHC eligible degrees, LADC 1, RN, Licensed Occupational Therapist.
Unlicensed MSW graduates welcome to apply under Pathway program.
Experience: At least 3 years experience in the provision of clinical or rehabilitative services to adults with chronic and persistent mental health issues and substance use disorders preferred. At least 1 year of supervisory experience. Knowledge of Recovery approaches for the treatment of individuals with severe and persistent mental illness
Skills: Must have Driver's license. Must be MAP certified, CPR/first aide certified within five (5) continuous months of employment/date of hire (training provided)
