Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex tax returns including 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S, and 990 forms
- Supervise, train, and review work of junior tax staff to ensure quality and compliance
- Advise clients on tax-saving strategies, business planning, and regulatory compliance
- Stay current on tax law changes and apply them effectively in client work
- Support audit preparation and maintain clear client communication during audits and reviews
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a public accounting firm environment
- Proven ability to review tax filings and lead teams effectively
- CPA license required or actively pursuing CPA certification
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency with CCH Axcess and QuickBooks software
- Experience preparing nonprofit tax returns (Form 990)
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and excellent client communication skills
