We're seeking a dedicated Financial Aid Counselor to help students and families navigate the complexities of funding higher education. Financial Aid is seeking an experienced individual to join our counseling team with a focus on Massachusetts state aid programs. This position will be responsible for determining eligibility and the awarding aid funds to MASFA applicants; while also providing support in regards to certification and reconciliation of other state funds as well as other aid administration duties. Associate degree 2. Minimum three years of experience in a financial aid office, or five years within higher education 3. Knowledge of Federal and State Aid regulations 4. Background and/or experience working and communicating with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and experiences 5. Experience exercising discretion and handling confidential information Preferred Qualifications 1. Bachelor's or advanced degree 2. Professional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills 3. Strong organizational and time management skills and a high level of attention to detail 4. Possess strong technology skills 5. Experience working with PeopleSoft 6. Experience with MA State Aid Programs and systems (Massaid, MASFA Applications) Working Location This is a hybrid position in Salem, MA with on-campus, in-person responsibilities (1-2 work days on site or more if necessary), that requires occasional work on evenings and weekends.
