Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist near Georgetown, MA to manage our full-cycle AP process and help maintain relationships with our valued vendors. You’ll be responsible for accurately processing a high volume of invoices, performing three-way matching, and ensuring all payments are executed via ACH, wire, or check on a strict schedule. This position is 100% onsite, temp to hire, and requires solid Quickbooks and Excel skills.

salary: $25 - $27 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing: Receive, verify, and enter a high volume of vendor invoices into the accounting system with accuracy.

• Three-Way Matching: Perform "three-way matching" by comparing the purchase order (PO), receiving report, and vendor invoice to identify discrepancies.

• Payment Cycles: Prepare and execute weekly check runs, ACH transfers, and wire payments.

• Vendor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, resolve billing disputes, and maintain up-to-date vendor files (including W-9 forms).

• Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports to ensure compliance with company travel and entertainment policies.

• Compliance & Filing: Maintain digital and physical financial records in accordance with company policy and tax regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.

• Technical Proficiency: strong experience with Quickbooks and Excel
