Role Summary
NECI’s Asset Reliability Business is engaged in the delivery of Instrumentation and Calibration services to industrial sites throughout New England & New York. We work closely with our customers in solving problems and providing technical solutions.
As a member of the NECI Asset Reliability team, you are expected to deliver industry leading services to our customers as it pertains to instrumentation support & calibration. Technicians working as a member of a team, or independently are required to execute site services efficiently and accurately. In addition to technical expertise, NECI seeks individuals with superior attention to detail and reporting skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute field service work as a member of a team or individually as required
- Perform basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of field instruments
- Collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data gathered during calibration
- Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective action via adjustments, component replacement, correction factors, etc.
- Write detailed site reports, calibration reports, and certificates
- Interact with other technicians, schedulers, account managers, and customers.
- Manage and maintain equipment in a manner to ensure accuracy.
- Perform tasks by referencing standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
- Physical demands: Lifting up to 50 lbs without assistance.
- Travel: 90% travel within the New England area
Qualifications
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years of calibration experience some of which can be offset by formal metrology training
- Must be able to perform general math and algebra functions
- Must possess good written and oral, communication skills
- Self-starter, honest, responsible, timely, detail oriented and self-sufficient
- Basic computer skills
- Proficient in use of MS Word and Excel
- Must have very good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to get along well with others.
- Strong attention to details
- Appropriate and professional demeanor and appearance.
Not required, but preferred:
- ISA Certification (Level 1)
- Experience in entering information into a calibration management system
- Experience working in Pharma, Power, or utilities.
- Knowledge of or experience with ISO 17025
- Military experience or certification in electronics
- Hands on experience testing, troubleshooting, and repairing pressure and temperature instruments.
- Experience using pressure calibrators (e.g. BEAMEX multi-calibrator / Fluke 721), multimeters, and temperature standards (e.g. Fluke 1523).
- Proficient in viewing, programming, and adjusting pressure and temperature instruments via HART communication
- Experience with 4-20 mA current loops
- Experience in various BUS communication protocols
