Travel Nursing Job Details

• Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel Assignment
• Location: Athol, Massachusetts 01331 (North Quabbin region)
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (19 beds, 15 rooms)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 3x12-hour mid shifts (1:00 pm – 1:00 am), 36 hours/week
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
• On-Call: None
• Float Requirement: None
• Scrubs: Any color
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1890 - $1940

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications (AHA required)
• Preferred: TNCC, ENPC, NRP, and MOAB certifications
• Experience with Meditech Expanse and Omnicell preferred
• Previous charge nurse, community hospital, and charting system experience preferred
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to work some holidays and every third weekend
• First-time travel nurses with strong ER experience are encouraged to apply

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ER setting
• Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for trauma, cardiac, behavioral health, and medical emergencies
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and deliver advanced life support interventions
• Utilize Omnicell and Meditech Expanse for documentation and medication management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, and unit secretaries
• Assist with special procedures such as chest tube insertion, intubation, central line placement, and procedural sedation
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection control protocols
• Educate and support patients and families during emergency situations
