PPAP & Advanced Quality Coordinator (Contract - 6+ Months)

Asahi America
Lawrence, MA

Job Description

Job Description

Build Quality. Drive New Product Success. Join Asahi/America.

What’s The Job?

Asahi/America is seeking a PPAP & Advanced Quality Coordinator for a contract assignment expected to last six months or longer, with the potential to become a full-time position based on business needs and performance.
In this role, you'll lead the preparation and submission of PPAP documentation for new customers and major contract opportunities, helping ensure products move smoothly from concept to production. Working alongside Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality, you'll play a critical role in validating manufacturing processes and delivering the documentation our customers depend on.

What You Will Own.
You'll own the complete PPAP process—from developing Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, and Control Plans to preparing final customer submission packages. You'll collaborate with Engineering and Operations to understand manufacturing processes, work with Supply Chain to secure raw material certifications and traceability, and support First Article Inspections (FAIs). You'll perform measurement system analysis (MSA), Gage R&R studies, and process capability (Cpk) analysis to verify manufacturing performance. You'll also develop inspection methods, recommend and implement new gaging, support manufacturing cell development, and work with internal teams and customers to resolve quality issues and achieve PPAP approval.

What Separates You From The Rest.
You understand what it takes to successfully complete a PPAP and enjoy working at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, and quality. You're proficient in mechanical inspection techniques and statistical analysis, including MSA, Gage R&R, and Cpk studies. You have experience creating Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, and Control Plans and are comfortable interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications. You're organized, analytical, and thrive on solving problems while keeping projects moving forward. Most importantly, you're someone who takes pride in producing accurate documentation that helps customers gain confidence in our products and processes.

What We Offer.

  • Contract position expected to last 6+ months
  • Opportunity to work on high-profile customer programs and new product launches
  • Collaborative engineering and manufacturing environment
  • Competitive hourly compensation based on experience

Quality products. Trusted partnerships. Proven success — that’s Asahi/America.

Compensation Transparency.
The pay range shown represents what we expect to offer in good faith for this role at the time of posting. The final offer will depend on several factors—such as education, experience, certifications, skills, performance, shift, location, and business needs. We review our ranges regularly to ensure fairness and market competitiveness.
