Program Admin - Emergency Management and Business Continuity
Overview
Under the general direction of the Manager, Emergency Management and Business Continuity, the incumbent supports the Institute’s Emergency Management & Business Continuity department. This position supports all aspects of Emergency Management and Business Continuity functions, including preparing for disruptions, testing and training plans, conducting risk assessments, and responding to various emergencies. Responsibilities will include project management, stakeholder engagement and management, process and workflow definition, and data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities
- In support of the overall emergency management and business continuity program, works directly with leaders across the organization to execute emergency preparedness and business continuity department priorities.
- Support execution of emergency management and business continuity risk assessments, including hazard vulnerability analysis (HVA), business impact analysis (BIA), etc.
- Supports the Emergency Preparedness Committee, including all sub-committees. Represent the program at various committees with community partners including but not limited to Mass General Brigham, the Conference of Boston Teaching Hospitals, Boston Public Health Commission, Massachusetts Department of Public Health, etc.
- Collaborates with joint venture hospital’s emergency management and business continuity teams and community partners to align program initiatives and response activities and ensure compliance with service agreements.
- Analyzes and evaluates post incident performance, makes recommendations, and takes corrective action as necessary to promote effective response.
- Works with emergency management and business continuity team to ensure program compliance with regulatory and training requirements, best practices, and audits, as necessary.
- Conducts training and exercises according to HSEEP doctrine, including tabletop exercises and full-scale drills as required by organizational needs and ensure all Institutional drills and exercises are complete and well documented.
- Implements software solution for emergency management and business continuity across DFCI.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in emergency preparedness, business continuity, or security/public safety. Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Completion of ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800
- Relevant industry certification preferred such as Associate/Certified Emergency Manager (AEM/CEM), associate/certified business continuity professional (ABCP/CBCP), etc.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Experience with NIMS/HICS
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Zoom, Adobe.
- Knowledge of trends, issues, and accepted practices relevant to the position.
- Excellent attention to detail skills
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with peers, leadership, and external contacts.
- Must possess the ability to problem solve with minimal guidance, maintain confidentiality, and pay excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent ability to organize, prioritize and follow-through.
- Ability to apply independently a wide variety of policies/procedures where specified guidelines may not exist.
Pay Transparency Statement
The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
$30.38/hr - $35.96/hr
