Now Hiring: Travel Oncology Pharmacist | Western Massachusetts
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: MondayFriday | Day Shifts (~7:00 AM3:30 PM or 8:00 AM4:30 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks (Temp-to-Hire Option Available)
Setting: Cancer & Infusion Center
A specialized cancer center in the Berkshire area is seeking an experienced Oncology Pharmacist for a travel assignment. This is a full-time, weekday role with opportunities to contribute to clinical care, research, and operational development in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess patient therapy plans for safety and appropriateness, with age-specific considerations
Prevent adverse drug events through clinical intervention and ongoing monitoring
Prepare and oversee IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and sterile products
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
Collaborate with medical teams to develop new treatment protocols
Provide education on new regimens to clinical staff
Manage medication inventory and ensure pliance with regulatory standards
Help standardize chemotherapeutic ordering procedures
Participate in clinical research and professional development programs
Ideal Candidate:
5+ years of acute care clinical pharmacy experience
Sterile pounding and chemo mixing experience is REQUIRED
pletion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency in Oncology (strongly preferred)
Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) (strongly preferred)
Ability to work independently within established policies and procedures
Experience with specialty pharmacy medication management
Must have reliable transportation for travel
