Instructor private and group

Positions in Waltham/Greater Boston Area, MA:

• Private Lesson Instruction in piano, ages 4-10. Potential to expand into music, movement, and group piano classes, as well. Lessons are ages 4-10.
• 1-2 afternoons/week, with possibility to expand (Tuesdays and Thursdays )
• Curriculum, materials, and teacher support are provided

Job Overview:

We are looking for a piano teacher to fill a current lesson and class schedule for the 2025-2026 Academic Year in Waltham, MA.

Teaching Rate: Competitive rates for private lessons, $35-70 per class dependent on experience and class length, teaching meetings are also paid.

Teaching contract for 30-week academic period, September - May.

Required Qualifications:

• College Degree related to music performance or education
• 2+ years experience in private lesson or classroom teaching
• Candidates must be organized and detail-oriented
• Comfort and experience with creating lesson plans, also curriculum is provided and can be tailored to each teacher’s needs and goals.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills. You will be working as part of a team and interacting with multiple teachers and staff members on a regular basis.
• Sensitivity around the personal, financial, and health circumstances of our students

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with extracurricular music and arts activities and organizations serving children and families
• Experience with teaching movement and music
• Dalcroze Certificate, License level training an asset
• Experience with GSuite including Google Docs, Google Drive, and Google Calendar.
• Enthusiasm for Integral Steps mission of integrating cognitive, physical/sensory, and social-emotional learning
