Paraprofessional – District Wide Float
Location: Lexington, MA
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–2:50 PM
Pay Rate: Up to $26/hr , based on experience
Duration: 2025–2026 School Year
Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a wonderful school district in Lexington that is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Paraprofessional to join their team immediately . This full-time role supports students around the district by providing coverage where needed. Candidates should be comfortable to support various grade levels.
About the Role
The paraprofessional will provide academic and behavioral support in a small-group ratio (1:3 or 1:4) or 1:1 while students attend their general education classes. This collaborative;: model allows staff to work closely with teachers and specialists to ensure consistent, meaningful support throughout the school day.
Responsibilities
- Support students in accessing curriculum within general education settings
- Reinforce academic concepts and executive functioning skills
- Provide positive behavioral support and encouragement
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and ILP team members
- Maintain a supportive, inclusive environment for all learners
Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with students in special education or inclusive settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Patience, empathy, and a student-centered mindset
- Ability to follow individualized plans and classroom routines
