**$500 sign on bonus ($250 at the completion of first week of training and $250 after successful completion of first 90 days)**
Position : Bi-Lingual Employment & Training Specialist 2 Full Time
Location: Holyoke, MA
Pay: $24.76 Per hour; plus $40 bi-weekly stipend for second language
Hours: 40 Hours per week
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm with flexibility for occasional nights and weekends
Summary:
- The Employment Specialist works directly with individuals with disabilities to support them in obtaining and maintaining competitive, integrated employment. This position carries an active caseload and provides individualized, person-centered employment services, including career exploration, job development, placement, and ongoing follow-along support. The Employment Specialist collaborates with participants, employers, and service providers to identify strengths, address barriers to employment, and promote long-term job success. Responsibilities also include employer outreach, job coaching, advocacy for workplace accommodations, and maintaining accurate documentation to track progress and outcomes in compliance with program requirements
Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates will have at minimum a Bachelor’s degree with one year of experience providing employment services to individuals with developmental disabilities or other employment barriers; or an Associate’s degree with two years of related experience; or a High School diploma, GED, or HiSET with three years of relevant experience
- Ability to use computers to include Microsoft Word, data entry, email, and internet essential.
- Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, use of vehicle and willingness to transport participants in personal vehicle.
- Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, offices, and community organizations.
- Fluency in Spanish required.
