Responsibilities
- Assess (and reassess), plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions for ICU patients in collaboration with the health care team.
- Provide patient care based on standards of care, protocols, and established policies; honor patient dignity and support family involvement.
- Document thoroughly and timely, and communicate patient status to the multidisciplinary team; participate in daily rounds.
- Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders; monitor and document pain control, responses, and adverse effects.
- Monitor telemetry, interpret rhythm changes, and respond to arrhythmias; manage hemodynamic monitoring and, as needed, support ventilated patients (including initiation, maintenance, and weaning of mechanical ventilation).
- Contribute to discharge planning and education for patients and families, coordinating resources and referrals as appropriate; identify and escalate safety concerns.

Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
- MOAB class required within 60 days of hire
- ACLS required upon hire OR active BLS with ACLS obtained within 60 days of hire
- CCRN preferred
- Minimum education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Minimum work experience: 1 year med-surg experience preferred; telemetry experience preferred; ICU experience preferred
- Ability to work in an ICU/telemetry environment
