Software Engineer

We are seeking a talented and adaptable System Automation Programmer to join our team. This role is critical for maintaining and enhancing our web platforms and automation tools. The ideal candidate will have experience with web technologies, various programming languages, and databases, and will be flexible in working with third-party software. Knowledge of Jira is a plus. The role involves managing multiple tasks concurrently and ensuring smooth operation across different systems and tools.

The base salary range for this position is $75,000-$85,000 per year.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain and update websites developed using React and VueJS.
• Develop, support, and enhance tools written in Java, Groovy, Python, and PowerShell.
• Manage and query databases on SQL Server.
• Work with third-party software such as Quadient, Astera, and others as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address system requirements and issues.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance and functionality.
• Document and communicate system changes, processes, and procedures.
• Handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with web development technologies, including React and VueJS.
• Proficiency in Java, Groovy, Python, and PowerShell.
• Experience with SQL Server database management and querying.
• Flexibility to work with various third-party software solutions.
• Familiarity with Jira for project management and issue tracking is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to communicate in a common language with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing
• Be able to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device
• Be able to complete a minimum of a 40-hour flexible workweek schedule
• Be able to read and comprehend position-specific documents and correspondence

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with specific third-party tools such as Quadient, Astera.
• Knowledge of additional automation tools or platforms.
• Understanding of system integration and data exchange technologies.

• Be able to sit 90% of the workday at times
• Be able to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed
