Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school district in Chicopee, MA is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a contracted position spanning the full school year. This role offers an opportunity to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students across all grade levels.
Responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments, interpreting evaluation results, and collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals to develop effective intervention plans. The School Psychologist will provide counseling, crisis intervention, and contribute to creating a positive learning environment tailored to student needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working within K-12 educational settings
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and families
- Knowledge of special education laws, RTI frameworks, and behavioral interventions
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Location: Chicopee, MA services will primarily be within a public school setting serving kindergarten through 12th grade.
This contract position covers the full school year and requires a professional committed to student success and well-being. The role demands flexibility, thorough documentation, and a proactive approach toward supporting student mental health and academic achievement.
