Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler
Pay Rate: $18.00-$20.00/hour
Location: Worcester, MA
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electromechanical Assembler to join a manufacturing team producing electronic and mechanical assemblies. This position involves assembling, soldering, testing, and inspecting precision components while following established work instructions and quality standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, has strong manual dexterity, and enjoys working with small parts in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic and electromechanical components according to assembly instructions, drawings, and production specifications.
- Perform hand soldering on electronic components and wiring as required.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to complete assembly tasks.
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality and workmanship standards.
- Troubleshoot minor assembly issues and communicate concerns to production leadership when necessary.
- Perform repairs or rework on assemblies as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow established manufacturing procedures, quality requirements, and safety guidelines.
- Assist with additional production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience
- Hand soldering experience
- Ability to successfully complete an internal soldering qualification process.
- Strong manual dexterity and the ability to work with small, detailed components.
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions, assembly drawings, and basic diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing assembly work.
- Frequent use of hands for repetitive assembly and soldering tasks.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Good close-up vision to inspect small components and completed assemblies.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include occasional exposure to heat, dust, and production equipment.
