Travel OR Tech Job Details

• Location: Boston, MA 02118 (Massachusetts healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Surgical Technologist
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: November 30, 2025
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7am start; some shifts at 9am or 11am)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Schedule: Day/Evening rotation, every 3rd weekend as needed, no major holidays, 1 call shift per schedule period
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020 - $2070 per week

Operating Room Tech Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient surgical technologist experience
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Proficient in at least 5 surgical specialties: general, gynecology, genitourinary, oral, otolaryngology, bariatrics, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, spine
• NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Strong communication skills and a positive, adaptable attitude
• Willingness to float to other OR campuses as needed

Key Responsibilities for Surgical Techs

• Assist in diverse surgical procedures within a 22-room operating suite staffed 24/7
• Support surgical teams during trauma and high-acuity cases
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure all surgical equipment is prepared and operational
• Collaborate with surgeons, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Participate in on-call rotations and adapt to schedule changes as required
• Demonstrate flexibility and a strong commitment to patient safety and quality healthcare
