Payroll Specialist Location

: Payroll Specialist Location: Natick, MA (Onsite) Company: Busek Co. Inc. Employment Type: Full-Time Overview: Busek, a leading innovator in aerospace propulsion and engineering solutions, is seeking a Payroll Specialist with hands-on experience in UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) to manage and process payroll for approximately 140 employees . The ideal candidate will ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll operations while supporting HR and Finance functions. Key Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll using UKG for 140 employees, including hourly, salaried, and contract staff.
• Maintain and audit employee data in UKG, ensuring accurate timekeeping, pay rates, deductions, and tax setup.
• Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely, professional manner.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
• Prepare payroll reports and reconcile payroll accounts for accounting and audit purposes.
• Collaborate with HR on onboarding/offboarding processes, benefits deductions, and leave tracking.
• Process year-end tax forms including W-2s and respond to agency notices as needed.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience processing payroll, with hands-on experience in UKG (formerly Kronos/Ultimate Software) .
• Familiarity with payroll laws and compliance requirements.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive/confidential data.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with timekeeping systems and working in a government/compliance-driven environment a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with payroll for a government contractor or regulated industry
• Understanding of benefits deductions, 401(k), and leave accruals
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, HR, or related field
