Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a NICU position in Boston, MA, requiring 2+ years of NICU experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based NICU setting caring for both full-term and premature infants
• Patient population includes critically ill neonates and infants requiring complex medical and surgical care
• FLEX 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation, start times of 7a and 7p
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of NICU RN experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred)
• Strong assessment, clinical, and organizational skills required
• Must be able to lift, transfer, and move patients
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English
• Must be able to perform mathematical computations required for treatment protocols
• 2 professional references required: at least one must be manager-level or above, one must be from within the past 12 months, and the other within the past 3 years

Additional Information

• Provides in-house emergency nursing care to full-term and premature infants requiring complex medical and surgical care
• Responsible for delivering competent, compassionate, culturally sensitive care to patients and families
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be offered a local pay rate
• Must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (A or B) as part of the consideration process — the test may only be taken twice
• References cannot be provided by another traveler
