Travel Sonographer Job
Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a Sonographer for travel assignments in hospitals, diagnostic imaging centers, and outpatient facilities. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality ultrasound imaging to assist in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct ultrasound examinations following physician orders.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound imaging equipment .
- Assess images for quality and accuracy, ensuring clear diagnostic results.
- Communicate findings to radiologists and physicians for interpretation.
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and safety .
- Maintain accurate patient records and reports .
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and facility protocols .
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Certification:
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) from ARDMS.
- Additional certifications in Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, or Cardiac Sonography preferred.
- Experience:
- 1+ years of experience as a Sonographer (preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound technology .
- Ability to work with patients of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills .
- Travel Readiness: Must be open to temporary relocation for assignments.
