Job Overview

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a Sonographer for travel assignments in hospitals, diagnostic imaging centers, and outpatient facilities. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality ultrasound imaging to assist in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct ultrasound examinations following physician orders.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound imaging equipment .
  • Assess images for quality and accuracy, ensuring clear diagnostic results.
  • Communicate findings to radiologists and physicians for interpretation.
  • Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and safety .
  • Maintain accurate patient records and reports .
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and facility protocols .

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • Certification:
    • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) from ARDMS.
    • Additional certifications in Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, or Cardiac Sonography preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 1+ years of experience as a Sonographer (preferred).
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound technology .
    • Ability to work with patients of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills .
  • Travel Readiness: Must be open to temporary relocation for assignments.
