Are you a visionary leader with a passion for resilience, automation, and innovation? MAPFRE USA is seeking a dynamic Director of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and IT Operations to architect and drive our infrastructure strategy into the future.

🌐 About the Role

Reporting to the SVP of IT Infrastructure, you’ll lead the charge in transforming our hybrid environment—spanning legacy and modern applications, on-prem and cloud—into a resilient, efficient, and forward-thinking ecosystem. You’ll oversee SRE strategy, IT operations, end-user support, devices, and datacenter operations, while building a high-performing team and fostering cross-organizational alignment.

🔍 What You’ll Do

• Lead Strategy & Execution : Define and implement a comprehensive SRE and operations roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Build & Inspire Teams : Cultivate a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
• Drive Innovation : Champion cloud adoption, automation, and reusable solutions to reduce IT expense ratios.
• Collaborate & Influence : Engage with senior stakeholders, negotiate vendor contracts, and manage multi-functional teams.
• Governance & Risk : Establish strong governance, track operational metrics, and ensure business continuity.
  
  

🧠 What You Bring

• 9–11 years of experience (or Master’s + 7–9 years) in IT operations and SRE leadership.
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), infrastructure as code, and resilience patterns.
• Strong understanding of network, security, disaster recovery, and virtualization technologies.
• Proven ability to manage hybrid environments and large-scale programs, especially in the P&C insurance space.
• Executive presence with a knack for strategic decision-making and stakeholder engagement.

• Experience with IT governance, compliance, and onboarding/offboarding procedures.
