Shipping and Receiving Clerk
- $20hr pay rate, (or DoE)
Mon-Thu, 7-5PM
Key ResponsibilitiesReceiving & Inspection
- Unload incoming deliveries from trucks or containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment.
Inventory & Documentation
- Accurately record all received items in the warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP software.
- Label and tag incoming materials with appropriate identification or barcodes.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
- File and maintain receiving paperwork for audit and compliance purposes.
Material Handling & Storage
- Move received materials to proper storage locations, staging areas, or production lines.
- Maintain organized receiving areas and ensure clear labeling of storage zones.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) or FEFO (First Expired, First Out) inventory principles where applicable.
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with purchasing, quality control, and warehouse teams to resolve receiving issues.
- Notify supervisors or leads of any delayed, missing, or damaged shipments.
- Support cycle counts, inventory audits, and warehouse organization projects.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and warehouse best practices.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and condition; document and report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Verify packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders to ensure shipments match documentation.
- Check expiration dates, lot numbers, and product specifications (if applicable).
