Temp - Registered Nurse (RN) – First Assist, Days in Pittsfield, MA. Travel assignment starting 04/13/2026 for 13 weeks in a surgery center, 40 hours per week, day shift. Weekly pay range: $2,889–$3,059. The RN will provide first-assist support in the operating room on an 8-bed unit. Requires Bachelor of Science in Nursing, CNOR, BLS (AHA), and two years of current First Assist OR experience, plus active Massachusetts RN licensure. Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency (Nursing Pool) license must be uploaded up front with the traveler profile. Meditech Expanse experience is highly preferred. RTO requests must be noted at submission. A profile with permanent address is required; travel requires use of a vehicle. Supervisory reference within the past two years is required.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the first assist during operative cases, providing exposure, tissue handling, hemostasis, and suturing under the surgeon’s guidance
- Maintain sterile technique and a safe intraoperative environment; coordinate with the circulator and anesthesia team
- Prepare and manage surgical supplies and instruments; assist with patient positioning and equipment setup
- Document intraoperative events as required and participate in postoperative handoffs and care coordination
- Collaborate with the OR team to uphold patient safety, accuracy of counts, and adherence to institutional policies

Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- CNOR certification
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of current First Assist operating room experience
- Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency license (Nursing Pool) must be uploaded prior to submission; Supervisory Signed Reference within past two years is required
