HVAC Service Technician

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced HVAC Commercial Service Technician with over ten years of expertise in servicing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC including hydronic boilers, chilled water equipment and evaporative cooling towers. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation and Maintenance:
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, rooftop units, and split systems.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
2. Repair and Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair HVAC system malfunctions, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant issues.
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems accurately and efficiently.
3. Customer Service:
Communicate effectively with clients to explain service issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations.
Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction.
4. Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to all safety procedures, regulations, and codes, including local building codes and environmental regulations.
Maintain a clean and company provided service vehicle.
Possess and maintain the required tool, meters, etc.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
Document all service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed in a clear and concise manner.
Prepare service and maintenance reports via company provided mobile device.
Have a basic understanding of Windows 365.
6. Collaboration:
Work closely with teammates and management as required for best communication.
Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC or related field preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial HVAC service and repair.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components, including digital controls and energy management systems.
EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment, such as multimeters, gauges, and leak detectors.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
Comfortable working in various environments.
Capable of working on ladders, roofs and lift equipment.
